The brothers Manuel Carlos Neto and Mário Neto, was born and grew up in Portugal, in 1977, they decided to Emigrate to Venezuela and began in the bakery business.
Initially worked for a large bakery in that country, working side by side with the lead baker and owner, watching and learning, developing they skills set and cultivating his craft. It wasn’t long after they realized not only did they love what they were doing, but they was really great at it! Later opening their first own business in Venezuela.
In 1987, with a great passion for the bakery business and a great entrepreneurial spirit, they decided to Emigrate to the United States where the next chapter of their life story began, in the certainty of greater opportunities.
Their intuition were right, in 1995 they opened the company Espiga de Oro Bakery.
There were prosperous years but the space was no longer enough, it was then that in 2002 they decided to take a big step and moved to a much larger space, where the factory is located until present.
Every day comes new ideas. The current production has more durability, texture always consistent, always fresh and soft.
The breads are placed in plastic bags, thus giving better hygiene and durability. Some of the points of sale are: Supermarkets, Mini Markets and Delis etc.
